Identify the lift models and the vehicles they will serve. Get the supplier's installation requirements and share them with the building and concrete contractors before the shop is priced.
Start with selected equipment
Create one record for each planned lift. Include the supplier, model, intended use and current installation documents. If a model has not been selected, list the alternatives and the date you expect to decide. Avoid presenting a placeholder as a confirmed requirement.
Describe the vehicles expected at that station. A bay for one class of vehicle should not silently become the assumed solution for a different fleet later. Include other equipment that shares the working area, such as alignment equipment, tire machines or mobile tool storage.
Coordinate the whole station
On a rough plan, locate the lift, vehicle approach, nearby doors and technician work areas. Show where parts are set down and how tools reach the station. Ask the equipment supplier and project designers to confirm required installation conditions and operating clearances.
Record which systems need coordination with the selected equipment. Confirm who will design the structural and electrical work, and when they need the lift information.
Make proposal boundaries explicit
Ask who supplies the lift, who installs it, and who confirms that the building work matches the equipment documents. Include delivery, unloading, storage before installation and any commissioning responsibilities in the discussion.
If lifts are planned for a later phase, describe that phase separately. Ask what information is needed now, what provisions are included, and what review will be required once final equipment is known. The phrase "future lift" should remain an identified assumption until the relevant specialists confirm it.
