Concrete planned around the lifts you will bolt down.

Shop slab and lift pads in North Florida: what to know

Every two-post and four-post lift concentrates its load on a few anchor bolts, and the lift maker states the slab thickness and concrete strength each post needs. Some shops pour the whole floor to that spec; others thicken the slab only under each lift position. Either way, the decision has to be made before the pour, along with the slope of the floor, the trench and floor drains, any service pit and the conduit for power at each bay. Bring the lift models and a bay layout to the first meeting so the concrete is designed for them.
